United Cabs, Inc. now has a permanent cab stand on Tulane University's uptown campus.  The cab stand is located at the corner of Willow Street and McAlister Extension adjacent to the PJ's Willow cafe'. 

You can also open an account with United Cabs, which allows you to use their services as often as you need and pay monthly based upon your usage.

In addition to providing you with a safe and convenient way to get around New Orleans, look what else a United Cab can do for you:

If you are sick in bed and can't get to the pharmacy, United Cabs will pick up and pay for your prescription and deliver it to you.

If you need food picked up from a restaurant, United Cabs will pick up and pay for your food from any restaurant you wish and collect upon delivery.

Need groceries or packages picked up? Call United Cabs with a short shopping list and they will pick it up and bring it to your door. 

How does a United Cabs account work?

If you have a United Cabs account set up there is no need to worry about whether you have cash to pay cab fare.  You simply hail a United Cabs driver, present them with your picture ID, tell them your account passcode and wait for the driver to confirm you are authorized to use the account.  Upon drop-off at your destination, the driver will give you a copy of your fare and keep a copy for billing purposes.

Can someone else use my account?

Yes, but this information will need to be set up with United Cabs prior to passengers using this service.  Each authorized user is required to present a picture ID and know the account passcode.  Please remember, you are responsible for all activity on your account so be diligent in keeping your information private.

What's my monthly charge?

All accounts are charged a $10 monthly service fee plus whatever usage you have for the month.  Your monthly bill will arrive with all fare slips enclosed from that particular month so that you can see how often and who used your account.  All accounts must be paid in full by the 20th of the month.

How long does my account have to be active?

Accounts need to be open at least one year and cannot be opened and closed each semester or academic year (fall and spring).  Early termination of an account will result in you being billed for the remaining service fees under the minimum year pending.
